Borage, Borago officinalis

$3.00

Borage is an annual herb native to the Middle East, but the benefits and uses of this ancient plant have given it a place in gardens around the world. The blue to pink, star-shaped flowers attract butterflies and other insects, and are a favorite of the honeybee. Flowers face down and provide nectar even in the rain. Planted near tomatoes and legumes, it repels pests and is said to improve the flavor of its companions. Leaves and flowers can be used as a vegetable or in salads, and the blue flowers cane be candied or used fresh in desserts. Fertilizes soil as well!  Also part of our "Keep 'Em Buzzin' Pollinator Pack." 50 seeds/3.00, 1/2 Oz./7.00, 1 oz./ 10.00.
