Beautiful and unique flowering legume with gray-green feathery leaves and handsome bright yellow flowers all summer and into fall. One of the few annuals of the prairie. The seed pod is small and flat, 1-2 1/2 inches long, and turns brown when mature for a stunning fall effect. Seeds attract wild game and many birds. Often found in disturbed areas.
