Similar
in growth and appearance to A. syriaca, Showy Milkweed is a more light
gray-green plant with oval leaves and large spheres of light rose to purple
flowers. Favors wet locations, but is very adaptable, particularly if near a
water source. Flowers May to September. Attractive to butterflies and bees.
