Sneezeweed, Helenium autumnale

This deer-resistant, low-maintenance beauty attracts butterflies and bees and provides seeds for various birds in winter. The bright native perennial reaches 3-5' tall in full sun, and prefers moist, fertile soils, but is tolerant of clay and wet. Its sunny 2-3" yellow flowers bloom from July through September.
